We recommend setting up the Claria between 30cm and 125cm from your plants. However, the optimal distance depends on the type of plants you're growing and how much natural light they already receive.

Your plants will give you feedback, if they are growing slowly the Claria can be positioned closer to give them more light, however we recommend keeping an eye on them if you do, curling leaves and darker patches are signs of too much light when the Claria is kept very close.

How to initially position your Claria grow light

For low-light tolerant plants

  • Recommended initial distance: 80cm-125cm
  • Grow area diameter: 80cm-140cm

Suitable for plants such as:
ZZ plant, Devils ivy, Philodendron, Yuka Palm and Peace Lilies.


For medium and high-light plants

  • Recommended initial distance: 30cm-80cm
  • Grow area diameter: 30cm-90cm

Suitable for plants such as:
Herbs, Banana, Chilli Peppers, Tomatoes, Orchids, Ficus, Cacti and Citrus plants.
