An easy indoor gardening project, you wont be able to throw out an avocado pit again after giving this a go
Take the avocado seed out of a normal avocado, peel the outer layer off, wrap it in a wet kitchen roll and leave it in a zip lock bag for about a month.
When you take it out the roots will have started to form. I cut off the top of a plastic water bottle to suspend the avocado in a vase so the roots touched the water.
Now you can just leave it in a sunny place or under a grow light and watch it grow.
Add a tiny bit of nutrients to the water for best results. It’s best to change the water when it goes green due to algae, but dont fill it back up all the way to the top, the roots need some air to breathe!
